Individual Therapy

Step 1:

During the initial session, I will seek to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish in our work together. My priority is to develop our relationship, put you at ease, and establish trust.

Step 2:

We will then get to work on your goals, whatever they may be. I infuse relevant evidence-based skills and tools in each of our sessions. In addition to helping you achieve your goals, my priority remains to cultivate our relationship and create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are.

Couples Therapy

Step 1:

During the initial session, I will seek to understand the reasons you both are seeking therapy, and explore the current state and history of your relationship. While doing so, I will also focus on fostering our relationship.

Step 2:

We each have our own life experiences and histories that shape who we are. Therefore, it’s natural for our life experiences and worldview to influence our relationship. To get to know you individually, I will schedule a separate session with each of you.

Step 3:

Following the individual sessions, the three of us will come back together and get to work. I am on your team throughout.
